We have just successfullly set up a VPN between
two offices. office 1 uses one-to-one NAT and
office 2 uses standard mode to connect to the
internet. Problem: both offices can no longer
view websites they are hosting using public IP
addresses (or by typing in their correct domain
names). Also emails from office 2 no longer go
through to office 1. Office 1 emails are
fine. Any ideas? Thanks, Chris |

Chris, This seems like
a common problem. You
have some data that you
would like to be
publically accessible and
some that only available
via the VPN. This is a
matter of 1. creating a
DMZ and hosting your
websites in the DMZ 2.
checking the permissions
on your VPN
server
I found
this solution
also: 1-Go to the
properties of the Dial-Up
connection 2-Highlight
"Internet Protocol
(TCP/IP) and click on
"Properties" 3-Click
on
"Advanced..." 4-Unchec
k "Use default gateway on
remote
network..."
The QB
article gives and
advanced description of
why you need to
uncheck this
box.
