We have a Windows NT 4.0 VPN server and a Windows XP remote user.

The problem is that we can't see the other computers in the office LAN, although the DHCP server assigns correctly the IP adresses ( DNS, WINS and IP local adress ) I can't resolve the names when I make a ping "name"

King regards

Klingonita,

How are you accessing the internet? Do you have a home LAN? This
problem often occurs when the home LAN has the same IP Subnet as the
office network. Although you are getting all the correct info from the
VPN server, the Home machine considers all the workstation as being local
and will not send the traffic over the VPN.

Solution: Make sure your IP Subnet at home is not the same as your office IP Subnet.
