Over a period I have tried to establish a VPN
solution for home office by installing a Zywall10
at the HQ and a ZywallOne at the home
office(Zyxel). I have managed to establish a
connection but I only see Windows2000 machines.
The connection is set up by the Zyxel Zywall with
their IPSec feature. I thought that this
encryption was between the Zywalls but it seems
that our NT4 server don't like this because it is
totally invisable to me. I can ping it but nothing
more. The other machines(Win2000) I can see in my
Explorer. I hoped that I did not need special
clientsoftware on the NT4 server to connect to
it. Is there any information about my problem
that you know can help me I would be very happy. I
am thinking about upgrading to Win2000 server but
it should not be necessary after my
knownledge.
Thank You
Harald

Harald, Ensure that
you are not filtering any
services. Also You may
need to configure WINS
to exchange data on
either side of the
tunnel.
