why does the registration authority create 2 certificates
----------
hi all i am implementing digital certificates for ipsec using a windows ca server. everything works fine. but i am unable to findout the reason of getting RA certificates downloaded on the router.

i mean why does the RA creates 2 certificctes one for digital signing and other for encryption.

the root ca does the signing the identity certificates. then how does the RA uses these 2 certificates and why.

i couldn;t find any material on this on the internet.

can someone pls tell me how does RA use this certificates.

waiting for someone to reply.

regards

se bastan
