Watchguard VPN
----------
Hi,
I configured a Watchguard VPN client for a remote XP Pro user to connect to a Watchguard firewall. The client can connect to the firewall with no problems. Now how do I get to the Windows 2003 server so the client can access drives, etc? Once I'm connected to the firewall, I can't even ping the server. What am I missing?

Thank you.

Watchguard
----------
open up your policy manager for the Watchguard, click on "Network" then "Remote user". In the remote user list expand the "Firebox authenticated users", highlight the user you created and click on edit. Click on Next 2 times until you get to "Allowed resources tab" and verify that this user has access to the server they need to get to. If you have not specified either the single IP address to that server OR access to the entire network (ex. 192.168.1.0/24) then they will never be able to access it. If everything is set properly then log into Wathguards website and download the latest patches for the watcguard manager and flash your Watchguard firebox with the latest firmware. There was a known issue with the remote user vpn's that would not allow the user to access the resources you granted permissions to.

I hope this helps.
