VPN connected now what?

I have managed to set up
two computers -
server/client -and I can
connect from the client
to the server via the
internet. -- at least it
goes thru the motions and
tells me it is
connected.
Now
What??
what needs
to be configured on the
server to access
resources there and how
do I access them from the
client??
