telecommuters using
Contivity for VPN. They
also need to browse the
web for information at
the same time. Is this
possible? | phildom Member since: 2001-11-20 10:00:00 | posted: 2001-12-04 13:48:32 Contivity Split Tunneling ---------- Gail, I think you're
asking about split
tunneling. First of all,
I think that split
tunneling is insecure and
can lead to your VPN
being compromised. Can
split tunneling be turned
on for your Nortel
Contivity users? Yes, you
do it through the
management consol. If
you are in charge of the
VPN, be careful about
what your users are
asking for and whether it
will compromise the
reason for the VPN. VPN
is a secure method of
accessing remote
networks. Split tunneling
means that you can leave
open the backdoor to the
office while you have
your front door guarded
by a swat team. In
summary, you can do it,
but it's not
advisable. Does this
answer your
question?
cheers,<
