VPN with a friend. He
has a cable modem with a
dynamic IP address. I
have an SDSL connection
with a static IP address.
My Netopia router can
handle PPTP calls, and it
is setup to do so. I
have tested it locally
and it is working
properly. My problem now
is, that I don't know how
he will be able to
connect to my router
since he is not a user on
my LAN. Will I need to
talk to my ISP about
fowarding his PPTP calls
to my IP address? I've
tried connecting to my IP
address from my LAN and
it doesn't pick up
anything (I guess I was
hoping it would go
straight to my router.)
Do any of you know what
is happening and how to
resolve it? Thanks in
advance for your
advice.
