international connections ---------- I need some help. I work
for a university and am
trying to use a third
party vendor located in
Malaysia. They are using
VPN to do a remote
install of a software
package. They originally
deployed the product in
11-2007 without any
problems. They have since
made upgrades to the
software and hardware and
have been trying to
perform the upgrades via
VPN. They have had access
on two occasions for 4
consecutive days on
copies of the original
accounts. On the fourth
day, the connection
abruptly stops, attempts
on re-connection fails.
We then have a new copy
of the account made and
they are able to get back
in only to have the same
thing happen on the
fourth day. My IT dept.
claims it is a "dirty"
connect since they are in
Malaysia. Does anyone
agree with this or know
of a setting within
Nortel VPN that would not
allow International
access? I am not getting
any help from my IT dept.
because they have had
their toes stepped on and
are feeling threatened by
this vendor, there is no
reason for their actions.
Any help is greatly
appreciated. Thank you. |
