VPN Client conencts to PIX, but not win2k server
----------
Hi,

We have a PIX 501, and a Win2k Server behind that. Cisco VPN Client 3.5 authenticates to the PIX, but when Microsoft Networking comes up and the login and pawword are entered, it says no domain server can be found to authenticate your usename and password. Could this be a RRAS and IAS setup mistake, or???

ThanksJeff

You might want to check to see if the traffic is going around the tunnel, I'm haveing the same problem, the traffic goes around the tunnel. Are you using PPTP?

Got it

Here is what i had to do.

On the client took out the log onto MS network.

I was dialing into my ISP with a client that had a NIC in it and a static IP address.

Set the client NIC to use DHCP for IP address. I could then authenticate to the PIX, but at this point, i am unable to browse the network, but can do a search for the server and then browse shared folders on the server.

The setup that i have at home is a win98 PC and a Win2K PC, behind a Linksys router, behind a cable modem. When i try to connect using the VPN client, through the cable modem i cannot connect. I am assuming that it is a similar problem to what i was experiencing with the DUN connection.

Try try again.......
