servers ---------- I'm using Win2K
Professional with the
Cisco VPN Client. I'm
able to connect via VPN
successfully. However, I
can't see any of the
machines on the network
that I'm connected to.
I've tried pinging and
even went as far as to
turn off my firewall and
it still fails. Are there
any services that I need
to check to make sure
that I can gain access to
the servers. | k10 Member since: 2003-08-21 15:11:17 | posted: 2003-08-21 15:26:43 Seeing servers ---------- Try editing your host
file on the client
machine, add the IP and
name of a server to the
host file, then use START
RUN, and type in the UNC
path of that server, this
should let you know if
you can get to
it.
If you want to
browse, thats another
thing, you need to use
the same name for the
workgroup on the client
and the server, or if the
server is in a domain,
try renaming the clients
workgroup to the same
name.
hope this
helps |
