One way VPN !
----------
I wonder if anyone has experienced the following situation: We have a W2k to W2k Server VPN installation which connects only in one direction ! Server "A" with Netgear DM602 ADSL Modem is able to initiate and establish a tunnel to Server "B" using Alcatel 570i Wireless router, the opposite is not possible. Once the tunnel is established, then all is normal and transfers etc can be carried out in both directions. We replaced the original modem on server "A" with the Netgear DM602 because it specifically allowes VPN passthrough. We have no firewalls installed at all. Pinging the fixed IP allocated to us by our ISP is also possible in both directions. The Server have almost identical installation running MS RRAS. Prior to VPN the servers connected sucessfully via ISDN lines (and still can do if we so wish). Would really appreciate any input from anyone out there. I heard that the modem must support Protocol GR47 !!?? in order for it to function with VPN but I have no idea how to verify this. Simon Raihani
