Server(win2k) then I
can't see any PC in the
network and can't ping
them. But the Connection
is OK, I think. Can
someone tell me why. I've
no more ideas.

Thx!! | k10 Member since: 2003-08-21 15:11:17 | posted: 2003-08-21 15:20:30 No Ping ---------- The main reason for this
problem is that when you
try and browse for the
servers on the network,
your PC will use the NIC
for this instead of the
PPP adaptors DNS
settings, thus one way
around this is to add an
entry in the HOSTS file
on your PC, add the IP
address and the name, and
then it should be
resolved via START
RUN.
If you wanted
to use the browse feature
the only way I have found
this to work, is to make
sure the workgroup name
your PC is in, is the
same as the domain name
or workgroup name of the
VPN you are connecting
to, then you will be able
to browse.
hope
