both?? ---------- Hi. My company has got
Cisco VPN3000
concentrators and uses
the Cisco VPN client for
remote access. I am very
unclear as to the optimal
config of the
concentrators and/or
client when it comes to
UDP or TCP. I know the
basics between TCP and
UDP (connection vs
connectionless). In
simple terms, though,
why/when would I want to
use one over the other?
You can configure IPSec
over TCP plus IPSec over
NAT-T in the
concentrator's
SYSTEM-TUNNELING
PROTOCOLS. Also, you can
configure IPSec over UDP
in the concentrator's
USER MGMT-GROUPS-CLIENT
CONFIG. And in the VPN
client properties, you
have to select TPC or
UDP. Can somebody please
explain why I might want
to configure all these
settings one way rather
than another way? Thanks
much....... |
