Free VPN between 2 ADSL
boxes

Hello,
I need to
set up a VPN between my
home and a friend's small
network and we both have
ADSL boxes to connect to
the web.
He has got a
server in his network and
a standard PC, and i only
have a PC.
I don't
know what software and
hardware needed to set up
a VPN (i've heard of
OpenVPN but i have no
idea of what to connect,
and if it's possible in
our ADSL
configuration)
Can
you help me with
this?
