Can't browse the network?
----------
I'm trying to set up a VPN on Windows 2000 Server that I can connect to from 98SE and 2000 Professional. The server is directly connected to the Internet with its own IP, no router or firewall. The workstations are directly connected through dialup. I can connect to the VPN, but can't browse the local network that the 2000 Server is on. The server doesn't even show up in Network Neighborhood. (I can ping the server.) Any ideas? A missing static route, maybe? I've seen the same question asked many times, but never answered...

browse network

Hi again

Sorry I hid a few wrong keys. You should ensure that you log on to a domain. On the 2000 server you should make sure that you have the rights to borwse the network. In a RAS server you do this by config the ports.

Same here

Hi,

I also have the same problem. Although I am logging-in on the Domain, I can't browse the Network.

Where do I put rights to browse the network?

Thanks

Routing feature
----------
You need an additional feature to be added on LAN routing , otherwise, i won't ping to others due to difference subnet mask, i believe that the IP of remote client (VPN) should be difference from your LAN client.
